What’s the draw?

This is the crossover behind the MW2 skateboarding clips: Modern Warfare 2, Skate 3 and Minecraft running together on IW4L. The public repository calls it the 2010 Rust Rewrite Mashup. Pressing J switches into skate mode on a map, with tricks, grinds and Skate 3 physics. Its Minecraft map adds an endless block world to the same runtime.

The documented Minecraft mode includes mobs, a day-and-night cycle, mining, block placement and a hotbar styled around MW2’s interface. Guns break blocks according to damage and range, grenades cause explosions, and skating works against block collision. Chasm shared the skating project on September 27; SoaR’s October 1 clip brought another look at the same combination.

The repository credits vladtrc and contributors for IW4L, and MinecraftOSS for the block-world engine. A Windows release and build instructions are linked there. You need your own MW2 files and extracted Xbox 360 Skate 3 files for skating. The README also records an invisible-board issue on some maps. This is an independent mod project, not an official crossover.

Controls

WASD and mouse; J toggles skating, E opens inventory, 1–9 selects hotbar slots. Controller support is documented.

Devices

Requires MW2; skating additionally requires your own extracted Xbox 360 Skate 3 files. See the repository for supported setup and downloads.
