What’s the draw?

Slide Stone is a browser logic puzzle by malikkayaalp. Each direction moves all the stones until something stops them. Colored pieces must leave through their own marked gates, so a useful move has to account for the whole board. The small opening puzzles introduce that rule before asking you to coordinate a pair.

The sixth board made the difference clear in our play check. Moving right pushed both pieces to the edge and produced an unsolvable-position warning. After undoing it, we sent the red stone through its bottom gate with a down move. That same move put the blue stone on the row it needed for a right-hand exit. Two directions solved what the first move had tangled.

Walls also help you line up an exit. On the seventh board, a block stopped the red stone partway across the bottom row, directly beneath its gate. The game displays a move budget and awards stars for efficient solutions, but we found no countdown timer. The tested build provides limited undo uses, restart and hints; we used undo and restart, not hints. Shapes on stones and gates supplement their colors.

The itch.io page was published on October 4, 2026 and records an October 7 update. Our opening check used version 1.4.0 and finished seven boards. The wider campaign, daily puzzle and later rules remain outside that check. The official browser build opened without a login and retained our progress after reload. It does not connect to an Attract Mode account.

Before you jump in

Controls
Arrow keys or WASD slide all stones. Z undoes a move from the available allowance; R restarts. H requests a hint. Keyboard controls are shown in the in-game rules.
Devices
Desktop Chrome arrow keys, Z and R checked. WASD and H are documented in the build; physical touch and controllers were not tested.

Our check

· Desktop Chrome

October 9, 2026: we played version 1.4.0 in desktop Chrome with the arrow keys. The first seven campaign boards cleared with three stars each, using one, one, two, two, two, two and three moves in the successful solutions. On board six, a right move sent both colored stones into an unsolvable arrangement. Z restored their starting positions and reduced the undo allowance from three to two; down then right cleared the board. On board seven, a wall stopped the red stone on the column beneath its exit.

We opened board eight, made a move that triggered an insufficient-moves warning, and used R to restore its initial stones and nine-move budget. Reload retained board eight, seven completed levels and 21 stars. We did not solve board eight, use hints, play the daily puzzle or test later worlds and physical touch devices. The build shows an undo allowance, so we do not repeat the page's unlimited-undo claim.
