Kurt Elster demonstrated a Sonic CD project for Sega Saturn on September 14. The creator describes it as a native port rather than emulation and says it was built with assistance from Codex. The clip is evidence of that prototype being shown, not proof that every stage and subsystem of Sonic CD has been completed.
This is a preservation and platform experiment rather than a crossover between two game worlds. The interesting change is the destination hardware: an existing Sonic game being adapted to another Sega platform. A follow-up from Elster discusses using his own game rip and a flash cartridge, which is important context for the demonstration.
The cited posts do not establish a complete public release, supported hardware list or installation package. We link to the original preview and use a still from its video. This is not a browser game, a ROM download or an official Sega release. We have not run the prototype, checked its performance or evaluated how much of the original game is playable.
