What’s the draw?

Keeper is a lighthouse puzzle by BOMborascla. Its free browser demo offers ten nights of small light-routing boards. Turn the lamp and flip the mirrors floating in the bay until the beam reaches every waiting boat. Completing a route sends the boats sailing home and opens another page of the keeper’s logbook.

The satisfying part is tracing what happens beyond the first reflection. In Two for Supper, we turned the lighthouse backward and flipped one buoy. Light crossed the bay, turned up through one boat, then bent right toward the second. An extra mirror sat unused nearby. The goal was to find a useful route through both boats, rather than simply involve every object on the board.

Cormorant Rock made the route longer. A first reflection sent the light away from the boat; another arrangement carried it beneath a rock and back toward shore. The illuminated path updates as you make changes, so you can read the consequence of each turn. Undo and reset let us test a move, restore the board and complete a cleaner solution. The first four nights have short move targets, with a gold lamp awarded for matching par.

The itch.io page records publication on October 4, 2026, and discloses AI assistance with code, graphics, sound and text. The separate paid download advertises forty nights and later puzzle elements; our check covers only the opening four nights of the free demo. It opened without an account and retained our progress after reload. Keeper is an external game and does not connect to an Attract Mode account.

Our check

· Desktop Chrome

October 12, 2026: we played the free demo in desktop Chrome using mouse clicks, a right-click, Z and R. First Light, The Turning Glass, Two for Supper and Cormorant Rock cleared in one, two, two and four moves, each matching the displayed par. On night three, a reverse lighthouse turn and a buoy flip sent one beam through two boats. On night four, the initial reflection went out to sea; changing two buoys routed it around a rock to Brave Lass.

Play again restored night two to zero moves. Z undid a lighthouse turn; R restored the starting puzzle, and the replay cleared in two moves. Reloading the itch.io page and relaunching the demo retained four of ten nights kept and offered Continue at night five. These short puzzles supplied four complete rescue loops plus a replay. Nights five through ten, the paid full game, hint execution, physical touch, controllers and audio quality were not assessed. The logbook’s October dates are story entries, not dates of our session.
