What’s the draw?

Picton is a browser tile puzzle credited to Pegion Chest and published by hatomune. Dragging a row or column moves all six tiles, with pieces wrapping around the board. You are making squares instead of lines. A small match needs four tiles of one color; for a larger square, the border can surround a different-colored center.

That distinction produced our favorite moment in the opening. We moved several rows and a column until eight blue tiles enclosed one red tile. The outline cleared, and the result became material for the little tower above the board. After reloading, we built the same shape in red around a yellow center. Planning the border gives you a reason to leave a tempting small match alone while you arrange something larger.

The tower gives the untimed board a continuing goal. Our check reached four floors, with character illustrations marking the early height milestones. The game also offers hints and optional helpers. We left autoplay and Magic Stars unused. The English tutorial text is awkward in places, but its highlighted boards and moving hand made the basic drag and square rules understandable.

The itch.io browser edition was published on October 7, 2026. Its credits identify Pegion Chest for the game and music and kuromoffs for art and design; it describes an earlier mobile release and AI coding assistance for this browser port. The public build opened without an account. Our tower height survived reload, although the tile arrangement changed. This external game does not connect to an Attract Mode account.

Before you jump in

Controls
Drag a row horizontally or a column vertically. Tiles wrap at the edges. Match a same-color square; for 3×3 and larger shapes, only the border must match.
Devices
Desktop Chrome mouse drags checked. Touch is developer-described but was not tested on a physical phone. Controllers were not tested.

Our check

· Desktop Chrome

October 10, 2026: we used mouse drags in desktop Chrome, completed the opening movement and square lessons, and made repeated small matches. We then cleared a blue 3×3 outline around a red center. The tower reached two floors and displayed its early character milestones. Reload retained the height and supplied a different board.

After resuming, we built a red 3×3 outline around a yellow center and reached four floors. Settings opened and closed, showing a best score of four. We planned the two larger squares with a small search over colors transcribed from the visible board; these results are not a human speed or difficulty benchmark. Autoplay, Magic Stars, special shapes, larger squares, later milestones and physical touch remain untested.
