Studio Zalktis is the creative portfolio of Zintars Beldavs. His official site brings together interactive web projects, films and animation, with work drawing on history, science, art and Latvian culture. Lejup is the studio's browser skiing and snowboarding game. Beldavs describes its starting point plainly: he wanted to ride digital versions of the Oregon mountains he skis.
That interest in skiing also appears in Snowline, his browser tool for checking mountain conditions. Lejup takes a different direction, rebuilding ski terrain from elevation data and mapped runs and lifts. The developer says player requests have helped expand its mountain selection. He discloses using AI coding assistance and distinguishes that help from the real geographic datasets behind the terrain.
