Before the MW2 skateboarding crossover, chasm showed a separate Skate 3 rewrite in Rust. The September 19 post describes a project aiming for the original game’s behavior through a human-and-AI development process. It specifically mentions connecting Skate 3 assets, action graphs and motion graphs to another engine.
That history helps explain the later mashup. Skateboarding in MW2 did not first appear as an isolated character animation: the public development posts describe prior work on a skating runtime. We keep this original experiment distinct from the later IW4L combination, which adds MW2 maps and a Minecraft world and has its own repository and requirements.
This entry links to the original Skate 3 demonstration. The post’s fidelity target is a development goal, not a compatibility result from Attract Mode. We have not confirmed a standalone packaged release for this specific version, nor tested its tricks, physics or supported hardware. The screenshot comes from the creator’s video, and the project should be treated as an unofficial desktop preview.
